I don’t like the background of the map – can I make it look different?

This article covers how to toggle between different base layers in the map representation.

Steps

The map background can be set to three different underlays, all of which are accessed via the “Map Layers” icon in the top right corner of the map:

  1. Google Terrain, which shows 3D topography
  2. Google Hybrid, which shows satellite imagery
  3. Open Street Map, which shows a 2D map
